  • Step 1: First of all, you should get into position in order to start that exercise. The beginning position has you lying on your back along with your left knee propped up and your ideal leg flat around the ground. Raise your left hand towards the ceiling. If you’d like to begin the Turkish get-up with some resistance, hold some weight, for instance a kettlebell, within your raised hand.
  • Step 2: Then what you should do is to prop up to your elbow. The first movement in the exercise is propping up to your right elbow. Do that by keeping your raised hand completely straight. Roll from the shoulder up and slightly to the side to prop up. Make sure to keep yourself looking at your raised hand at all times.
  • Step 3: Now please form a base once you are propped up on your elbow. Push your hips up abd move from balancing on your elbow to your hand and fully extending your leg on the same side. Make sure as you do this that your raised hand stays raised and that you continue to look at your hand or weight.
  • Step 4: Then slowly move to a kneeling position. From your base position, move the front foot (the one around the opposite side from the raised hand) back and underneath you until you are able to put your knee around the ground. By this point you must still have your left arm raised towards the ceiling, your left foot flat around the ground as well as your correct knee posted on the ground.
  • Step 5: At last, stand up from the kneeling position. Please extend your left knee as you raise your right leg to a straight position. Keep your raised arm straight while doing that.

Once you have finished the above steps, change sides and repeat. You can benefit from turkish get up exercise in short time.
